So, I got back from my Alaska deployment last week. While I was gone, a member of the Celica forum I'm on decided that the motor problems he's been having aren't worth dealing with since he just picked up an FRS. He put the car up for sale and... I went and gave him some money for it. I'm catching up on homework and then getting the Supra parts car gone before I pick it up from him.
Don't mind the stickers. Most of them are coming off (I'm keeping the Toy Run stickers for sure though).
He said the motor is lacking power,so I'm just going to swap in Grimace's motor into it and use it's carbs/header as they're tuned a little better than my current Mikunis.
It's got new wheels & tires, coilovers up front, AE86 springs out back as well as AGX shocks. A W58 5-speed has been swapped in and my MkI Supra axle will complete it nicely (once I get the LSD moved over from the MkII diff). All in all, I won't have to do any rust repair on this and I'll get a car with heat & a working stereo (though I might miss that 80's equalizer in Grimace).
Grimace's fate is still TBD. It would be nice to have all the garage space back if I got rid of it, but I've also got thoughts of grandeur about doing a JZ/UZ swap on it and making a track car out of it. We'll see after I get the new one on the road.

It's just like Grimace's, except I don't have the trumpets on the carbs.

I still regret not buying an 81 Supra when I had the chance. Curse my tendency to make the safe choice.

Sweet :) I was wondering what was up in the world of Celica. That looks like a rather nice example.
A 1UZ V8 would be epic. I vote that :)
